IS2000 STRAIN BRIDGE MONITOR

The IS2000 Strain Bridge Monitor is a hand-held electronic instrument designed to be used with geotechnical instrumentation based on Wheatstone Bridge measurement concepts.

The monitor has a single re-chargeable internal battery pack providing power for both transducer excitation and its own measurement circuits.  Input signals from transducers are amplified and displayed on a front panel 4 digit Liquid Crystal Display.  Up to 12 individual transducers may be connected and the monitor will operate in quarter, half or full bridge configurations.

Transducers are connected to the Strain Bridge Monitor through custom designed interfaces.   These are a series of four interchangeable rear panels which are fitted to become part of the monitor housing, allowing the user to customise the monitor for a particular instrumentation installation. Two of these interfaces are designed for specific applications while the remaining two are of a more general nature for maximum flexibility.

The readout is supplied with a choice of any interface, operating manual, protective carry case and 240V battery charger module.  Additional interfaces are available and enquiries for custom interfaces are welcome.

SINGLE CHANNEL MONITORS

The Model RWM1 Resistance Wire Monitor has been designed as a hand-held excitation/output device for 120W strain gauge transducers.  It can also be used in conjunction with any 120W quarter-bridge Wheatstone Bridge circuit and may be supplied for use with 350W circuits.

The Model HBM1 Half Bridge Monitor has been designed as a hand-held excitation/output device for strain gauge transducers.  It can also be used in conjunction with any 'half-bridge' Wheatstone Bridge circuit.

The Model LCM1 Load Cell Monitor has been designed as a hand-held excitation/output device for Hollow Load Cells.  It can also be used in conjunction with other 120W or 350W Wheatstone Bridge circuits.

MULTI-CHANNEL MONITORS

The Multi-Channel Monitor has been designed as a hand-held excitation and output device for 120W extensometer displacement transducers.  The readout is fitted with a multicore input cable for connection to a maximum of twelve input circuits.  It can also be used in conjunction with any 120W Quarter Bridge Wheatstone circuit.
