Description
The SBM3000 Strain Bridge Monitor is a portable device used for the measurement of strain-gauge instruments including those installed in underground coal mine environments.
In operation, the user connects the pre-wired sensors to the measurement box via whichever of the two input options the box is configured. When a measurement scan is initiated, all the sensors are powered together, a complete set of measurements are taken, and the sensors are powered down.
Measurements are recorded in memory and are available for immediate recall via the front panel. After measurements are made at all sites, the SBM3000 can be returned to the surface where data can be recovered and the system managed by connection to a computer. The system battery pack can be recharged in a non-hazardous safe location.
The SBM3000 has Intrinsic Safety Approval to IEC 60079-0:2011 Edition 6.0 and IEC 60079-11:2011 Edition 6.0.
